Adventure gear can be divided into three broad categories of (1) general gear needed for survival, (2) the specific gear needed for the adventure itself, and (3) other stuff that is either fun, useful and/or wise to have depending upon how you use it.

This gear list is by no means exhaustive or all encompassing; it is merely a list of suggested gear. You will need to tailor your gear list to the specifics of your adventure, the terrain, the weather, and to your needs and skill level.
